KAMA
'KAMA' (meaning ‘sexual desire’ in Pali) likes any habitual sense pleasure, brings suffering. To lay people the Buddha advised that they should at least avoid sexual misconduct which meant following generally accepted norms of sexual morality and behaviour.
• Pāli is the language of the scriptures of Theravada Buddhism, written in Sri Lanka during the 1st century BC. Today Pāli is studied mainly by those who wish to read the original Buddhist scriptures, and is frequently chanted in rituals.
