TRAPPINGS, 2022

“Trappings", the subject matter draws on my experiences of seeing people's lives caught up in the social and cultural eddies within which they are lived. The word 'trappings' itself plays on the idea of ornamentation and luxury that accompanies what society regards as 'success' - and that we are all taught to desire - as well as indicating the notion of entrapment.
